HOLY DAUGHTER: A SPARKLING NIGHT OF LOVE, POWER & PURPOSE AT GITANO NYC

When art meets activism, magic happens and on this night, it happened under the disco ball at GITANO NYC

We were honoured to host HOLY DAUGHTER, a luminous and love-filled fundraiser supporting the trans community, created by multidisciplinary artists Blu Detiger, Ahya Simone, and Sophia Giovannitti. In partnership with the Transgender Law Center and the Third Wave Fund, the night brought together fashion, family, and fierce advocacy, all in the name of liberation.

MOTHER DAUGHTER HOLY SPIRIT

Inspired by the divine feminine and the concept of chosen family, the event was grounded in the ethos of “Mother Daughter Holy Spirit” - a reimagined trinity that centres trans experience, joy, and mutual care. As V Magazine beautifully described, it’s a vision where "mother" and "daughter" are roles we choose, honour, and protect, rather than identities we inherit. It’s a call to community to step in, show up, and love harder.

A GLAMOUROUS GATHERING

The vibe? Radiant and reverent.

Naomi Watts and daughter Kai Schreiber made headlines in matching sparkles, joined by an intimate crowd of friends, artists, and changemakers. There was no red carpet, just pink neon, mirrored walls, and a jungle energy that pulsed with purpose.

Guests wore limited-edition “Mother Daughter Holy Spirit” shirts designed by the hosts, later featured in Harper’s Bazaar, People, and Them. Every tee was more than a fashion statement, it was a contribution, with 100% of proceeds going to grassroots trans-led organisations working at the intersections of health, housing, and justice.

WHY IT MATTERED

The trans community continues to face systemic barriers to care and safety. Events like HOLY DAUGHTER remind us that support isn’t seasonal, it’s spiritual, social, and necessary. And that joy, when shared intentionally, is a radical act.

We’re proud to have offered our space for this celebration of solidarity and committed to continuing our support for queer, trans, and gender-expansive communities.
